Frequently asked questions

Is the Pokémon trade calculator free?
Yes. The trade calculator is completely free and needs no account. Just search for cards, add them to each side, and compare the values.
How does the trade calculator work?
Add the cards you'd give to your side and the cards you'd get to theirs. Yapa totals the current market value of both sides and scores the trade from your point of view, flagging who comes out ahead and by how much.
How are Pokémon card values calculated?
Values come straight from Yapa's live catalog pricing, which tracks recent market prices for each card and print. Prices are shown in USD, with non-USD markets converted automatically.
What counts as a fair trade?
You decide. Set an even-trade range in settings (a dollar amount both sides are comfortable with) and any trade that lands within that gap is called even.
Does it account for card condition or grading?
No. Values reflect ungraded market prices and don't factor in condition, grading, or sentimental value, so treat the result as a starting point rather than the final word.
Can I compare Japanese or graded cards?
You can add any card in the catalog, including Japanese-set cards, and prices are normalized to USD. Graded (PSA/CGC) values aren't modeled separately yet.
